Meet founder Daniela Venezia
A jacquard fabric designer for the corporate world—and loving it until Covid upended everything (back to the office, anyone?)—I have since expanded my practice to include sourcing and textile product consultancy, building on my years of industry expertise.
Born in Italy but raised in New York City, I spent eight formative years in Paris, France, freelancing as a textile designer after earning a Fulbright grant to study at l’École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle. Back in New York, I honed my skills in home furnishings before relocating to Montreal to join Duvaltex, a Quebec-based contract mill. While I still maintain a base in NYC, Montreal—a vibrant, French-speaking North American city— is where my cross-cultural identities feel at home!
Here, I have been working remotely — way before it was a thing — from my studio equipped with libraries of color swatches, design references, fabric constructions, and product samples. I use Adobe Creative Suite as well as the woven industry software Pointcarré.
I’m endlessly curious about the world, deeply passionate about textiles, and a highly organized lover of processes and shepherding ideas to market!
We are always on the lookout for new and exciting opportunities.
